In US, each law differs from one state to another, one thing might legal to California but illegal in Nevada although those two are neighboring states,it doesn’t really matter.  It’s the same reason why you need to get your lawyer in a state where you think you have a problem with the law.  For example, if you have legal trouble in North Carolina, it only make sense the you will hire nc lawyers and not from SC or any other states,unless of course, they have the corresponding licenses and out-of-state practice permit that will allow them to do so.
